I have been working with Clifton College since 2015 in their marketing department, facilitating communication and copywriting for their website, advertisement and brand presence.

I created videos, took photographs and managed their online news stories. Some videos can be seen below:

As I went freelance in 2016, Clifton College kindly asked me back on an ad-hoc basis to facilitate elements of brand communication. This included proof-reading and editing, copywriting, InDesign advertisement creation and historic consultation on brand and tone of voice. I created newsletters, liaised with journalists and provided marketing information about the college for editorial purposes.

Working with a small team as part of a small department, a close relationship was vital to understand how this prestigious public school operated and how its processes were put in place to keep growing as one of the country’s leading independent day and boarding schools. A unique environment, it was enjoyable to get ‘under the skin’ of a school such as Clifton College, understanding their operation and how I could help in the department. I gained a good understanding of not just the client’s needs but how they responded to and dealt with often complex and intricate pieces of work.

In 2017, I was asked to edit their Prep-School magazine, The Young Cliftonian, compiling text and images from a number of different sources and departments into a document for the college community.
